Garan is a global manufacturer and importer of branded and private label apparel for newborns, infants, toddlers, girls, boys, men, and women.

Scope: Seasonal collections for Girls & special projects for toddler girls & boys

Role: Fashion designer

 

FOCUS

Design and execute childrenswear for Girls for the seasonal brand, “Way To Celebrate” and ongoing projects, while also developing new projects to explore new business opportunities.

 
 

Background

Seasonal Collections

As a fashion designer, I worked alongside graphic artists as well as the production and management teams to create the most up-to-date clothes for the label called “Way to Celebrate.”

The seasonal collections included Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and St Patrick’s Day. We also started expanding to include a wider range of holidays, such as International Women’s Day, Black History Month, and Earth Day.

Wonder Nation Short

My team was responsible for the Girls French Terry short program. We oversaw colors, fit, and all presentational resources.

Wonder Nation Tank + Short

Our team also designed and developed the tank+short sets. This is a core part of our girls business, and was a huge team effort to bring forward a successful collection for the Spring season.

Design

For our seasonal collections and projects, we create our designs first in Adobe Illustrator and then in Browzwear Lotta. My Lotta 3D renderings are included below.

We designed several holiday collections during the seasonal year. Below are some of the items for Valentine’s Day, one of our main collections.

 

F O U R T H O F J U L Y

The Fourth of July collection was one of my favorites to design for. We brought together fireworks, popsicles, and most of the stars and stripes. Here are some of my designs for Fourth Of July.

 

E A S T E R

For Easter, we brought together bunnies, unicorns, and beautiful floral prints to bring a wonderfully sweet vibe to our collections. Below are some of my designs.

 

Special Projects

EXPANDING BUSINESS

Throughout the seasonal year at Garan we also developed additional projects to help expand our business. This included designing brand new collections for toddler boys & girls, and older girls & boys for Sam’s Club.

I have included pictures of our three-piece sets for boys and girls, which are currently being sold at stores and on the website under the label Member’s Mark (a private label for Sam’s Club).
